A/R: Asokore Mampong MCE commits to cracking down on sanitation offenders

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Ben Abdallah Alhassan, has committed to rigorously enforcing sanitation by-laws in the municipality to address ongoing issues.
He announced the establishment of a task force dedicated to enforcing these sanitation regulations.
With a population of 191,402, the municipality is currently faced by significant sanitation challenges.
To tackle this issue, the assembly has organised a sanitation conference with traditional leaders, religious leaders, and community opinion leaders, among others, attending.
In an interview with the media, MCE Alhassan stated that the task force would be responsible for coordinating regular community sanitation exercises throughout the municipality.
He also emphasised that structures built on waterways would no longer be tolerated.
