A/R: Fire razes down hostel housing KNUST students at Ayiduase
Firefighters have launched an investigation into the cause of a fire that ravaged a hostel housing students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The incident occurred on Thursday, 25 July 2024
The hostel known as ‘Father Hostel’, located at Ayeduase, had nine of its rooms destroyed on the second floor
Fire fighters from the Ghana National Fire Service, however salvaged 11 bedrooms from the flames.
Regional Public Relations Officer for the Fire Service, DOIII Peter Addai, confirmed that no casualties were recorded in the incident.
The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.
