Commonwealth Secretary-General meets Ga Mantse in London to strengthen youth development and global partnerships
The Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations, H.E. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, has held high-level talks with the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Ga-Dangme people and the Commonwealth.
The meeting focused on advancing youth development, capacity building, and creating broader international networking opportunities to empower young people within the Ga-Dangme community.
Discussions explored ways to leverage the Commonwealth’s global platform to support skills training, leadership development, and sustainable community initiatives that would enhance opportunities for Ga youth.
Both leaders emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships and international cooperation in driving inclusive growth and socio-economic progress at the local level.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the Commonwealth Secretariat to work closely with traditional authorities and local stakeholders to promote development, education, and empowerment across member states.
The meeting is expected to pave the way for stronger ties and collaborative programmes aimed at supporting the long-term growth and resilience of the Ga-Dangme community.
