In the congratulatory statement, the GBA praised the Electoral Commission, security agencies, polling station agents, the Diplomatic Community, and both domestic and international election observers for their never-ending efforts in ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process.
The GBA also praised voters who engaged in the election with enthusiasm and a sense of duty to shape the future of the country.
Special praise was given to all candidates who participated in the elections and also applauded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his timely congratulatory message to the President-elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on his victory.
