Interior Minister strengthens security ties with Saudi Arabia

Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka, has expressed deep appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the warm reception and fruitful engagements during his recent official visit.
The Minister, who was received by Saudi officials in Riyadh, held discussions with the Saudi Minister for the Interior, H.E. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas of security.
Talks centred on border security, counter-terrorism, and capacity-building initiatives, with both sides exploring additional avenues to enhance collaboration between Ghana and Saudi Arabia.
As part of the visit, Minister Muntaka presented a formal letter of gratitude to the Saudi Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel, for onward delivery to the Interior Minister, describing it as a symbol of respect and appreciation for the Kingdom’s hospitality.
“Ghana is committed to fostering stronger collaboration with Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of the Interior stands ready to pursue all avenues of partnership that bring mutual benefits to both nations,” the Minister said.
Ambassador Al-Dakhel, on his part, assured that Saudi Arabia remains open to further engagements and new initiatives that will advance cooperation and promote global peace and security.
