Jane Army of Women (JAW) launches Women Development Bank

Spokesperson Ama Amoah described the Women Development Bank as a game changer for women entrepreneurs.
"The key priority of this bank is to provide reasonable interest rates," she explained. "For far too long, high interest rates and limited access to capital have been significant barriers for women trying to build or grow their businesses.
"The Women Development Bank will change that by offering more affordable financial solutions tailored specifically to their needs."
Ama further highlighted, in addition to competitive interest rates, the bank will offer a range of other benefits aimed at fostering sustainable growth for women-led businesses.
These include accessible loans, customised financial products, and business support services to ensure long-term success.
"Our goal is not just to provide financial assistance, but to empower women entrepreneurs with the resources they need to thrive," Ama stated.
"This bank will help dismantle the financial barriers that have held back so many talented and ambitious women. With this support, we can unlock the full potential of women in business and contribute significantly to Ghana’s economic growth."

She concluded by urging women to take advantage of this opportunity: "The Women Development Bank is an unprecedented step forward. If we act now, we can transform the economic landscape for women across the country."
