President Mahama appoints new heads for Fire, Prisons and Immigration

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new leaders for three key security agencies as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen security leadership in the country.
The newly appointed officials include:
DDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie – Head of the Ghana Prisons Service DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong – Head of the Ghana National Fire Service DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu – Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration ServiceThe appointments were announced on Friday, March 14, shortly after the swearing-in of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), replacing George Akuffo-Dampare, who had served as IGP since 2021.
These leadership changes are part of President Mahama’s broader strategy to enhance efficiency, professionalism, and public trust in Ghana’s security institutions.
