Council of State member supports life-saving surgery for young man from Abor

Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atople, Council of State Representative for the Volta Region, has supported the successful life-saving surgery for Promise Nunekpeku, a young man from Abor, demonstrating what many have described as compassionate and people-centred leadership.

Speaking after the procedure, Mr Kwamigah-Atople expressed deep satisfaction at being part of an initiative that has given Promise a renewed chance at life. He revealed that the decision to support the surgery was grounded in his belief in humanity, compassion, and love as essential pillars of leadership and social responsibility.
“I am genuinely happy and fulfilled to have supported the surgery of our brother, Promise Nunekpeku. Standing for humanity, compassion, and love is something I am proud of,” Mr Kwamigah-Atople stated.
He confirmed that the surgery was successful and that Promise is currently under medical review. According to him, the family, supporters, and well-wishers remain hopeful and prayerful for a smooth and complete recovery.
Mr Kwamigah paid glowing tribute to Freeda Yayra Amable for her instrumental role in championing the cause. He commended her unwavering commitment, compassion, and selflessness, noting that her leadership and coordination were critical to the success of the medical intervention.

The Atople Council of State Representative also extended his appreciation to all individuals and groups who supported the effort through financial contributions, gifts, prayers, and moral encouragement. He said the collective response highlighted the strength of unity and shared responsibility in addressing urgent health challenges.
He appreciates all contributors and urged continued support for vulnerable individuals within communities, stressing that compassion and solidarity remain key to building a caring and inclusive society in the Volta Region and beyond.
