                                Ralph Poku-Adusei, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has vowed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will recover and emerge stronger, despite setbacks in the 2024 general elections.
Delivering his victory speech after securing the Bekwai seat in the December 7 polls, Poku-Adusei expressed confidence in the NPP's resurgence.
He acknowledged the party's challenges but emphasized his readiness to contribute to its renewal and success.
The lawyer credited his victory to divine intervention and the steadfast support of his campaign team, including party executives, coordinators, family, and sympathizers.
He noted that retaining the Bekwai seat was a tough challenge, adding that any other NPP candidate might have lost to the independent contender.
Poku-Adusei reflected on the obstacles faced during his campaign, which were marked by internal party discord and external competition.
However, his perseverance and dedication paid off, culminating in his victory.
“He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day,” he remarked, rallying his party members to remain hopeful and resolute.
To reinvigorate the NPP, Poku-Adusei stressed the need for unity, introspection, and the identification of new leadership to steer the party forward.
He underscored his commitment to reorganizing the NPP and leveraging his legal expertise to strengthen the party's structure and promote its achievements.
In Bekwai, Poku-Adusei aims to foster a self-reliant constituency by prioritizing:
Job creation Poverty alleviation Agriculture development Infrastructure enhancement Youth employment Educational advancement Support for pensionersWith his rallying call, “We will be back again,” and the reassurance that “This too shall pass,” Poku-Adusei exuded optimism and determination to inspire hope within the NPP.
