The nation went to the polls on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
By midmorning on Sunday, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer cum Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat, noting the NDC and former President Mahama had had "decisive victory" in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
