In a defining moment for Ghana’s political landscape, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has officially filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the 2024 presidential elections.

This bold move challenges the longstanding dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), signalling a potential new chapter in the nation's politics.

In a ceremony on Wednesday September 11, 2024 attended by the Electoral Commissioner and her deputies, Mr Kyerematen made a compelling case for a government of national unity, opposing the "winner-takes-all" political system.

He argued that at this critical juncture, Ghana needs an independent president who can heal and unite the country while driving the transformational change it urgently requires.

Corruption has been a persistent issue in Ghana, crippling economic growth and eroding public trust in government.

Despite numerous promises, both the NPP and NDC have struggled to effectively address the problem.

Illegal mining, or "Galamsey," continues to degrade the environment and pose health risks, with limited accountability from authorities.

Kyerematen offers a comprehensive plan to tackle these challenges.

His youthful running mate, Mr Kwame Owusu Danso — a lawyer, broadcast journalist, and youth activist — has further energized his campaign.
