Appiah Kubi reconcile with Napo to break-the-eight

Mr Andy Appiah Kubi, the Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North and a prominent member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has visited the party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, despite having previously opposed his selection.
Mr Appiah Kubi had publicly voiced his preference for a running mate more connected to the grassroots, humble, and respectful, rather than NAPO.
However, NAPO was confirmed by the National Council and officially unveiled in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9.
A week later, on Tuesday, July 16, Mr Appiah Kubi visited NAPO in his office, signalling a reconciliation between the two.
During the visit, NAPO and Appiah Kubi pledged to work together to secure a victory for the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
The meeting was marked by an exchange of pleasantries and a commitment to unity.
Henry Nana Boakye, the NPP’s National Organiser, also known as Nana B, praised the gesture in a Facebook post, expressing satisfaction with the show of unity.
He stated that the party is now united and determined to "break the eight" in the upcoming elections.
"The brotherhood is rekindled," Nana B wrote, highlighting the renewed collaboration between NAPO and Appiah Kubi. "The NPP is poised to break the 8!"
