Bawumia promises digital skills for 1 million youths to secure jobs
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his commitment to addressing Ghana's youth unemployment crisis by creating one million jobs through digital skills training.
Speaking at a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, Dr. Bawumia outlined his vision to equip young Ghanaians with essential digital competencies, enabling them to compete in the global economy, irrespective of their educational backgrounds.
“Youth unemployment is one of the biggest challenges we face today, and we need innovative solutions,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
“All the youth, we need jobs. I am going to give one million youths digital skills in Ghana. Everybody, even if you are a school dropout, we can give you digital skills.”
He further highlighted the potential for young Ghanaians to secure international employment opportunities from the comfort of their communities.
“You will stay in Kpando and work in America, in Germany, in Japan, in the UK, and in the US. Work right from here with your digital skills,” he assured the enthusiastic crowd.
