Bolewura charges gov't appointees to facilitate development in his traditional area

The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area and President of the Bole Traditional Council in the Savanna Region, Bolewura Sarfo Ketuge Feso I, has charged all government appointees to play active roles in facilitating development across the Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Districts.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Bole Traditional Council held at the Mum & Dad Lodge in Bole on October 13, 2025, Bolewura highlighted key areas that require urgent attention, including education, inadequate health facilities, poor internal road networks, land boundary disputes, chieftaincy conflicts, and youth unemployment.
Bolewura Sarfo Ketuge Feso (I) made a passionate appeal to the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Savanna Regional Minister, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi, the District Chief Executives (DCE) for Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, as well as all government appointees and development partners, to work together to address these developmental challenges.
He also lamented the absence of a befitting office for the Traditional Council, describing it as a major constraint.
He said, “One of our major challenges as a Traditional Council has been the lack of a permanent and befitting office.
For the past years since the inauguration of the council, it has operated under inadequate conditions that do not reflect our dignity and status.”
The President of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I), therefore called for the construction of a well-equipped, modern office complex to serve as the administrative and ceremonial centre of the Traditional Council.
He emphasised that such a facility would enhance record keeping, coordination, and the smooth running of traditional affairs.
Bolewura Sarfo Ketuge Feso (I) assured that under his leadership, the Council would continue to engage government and development partners to attract the needed projects to the area.
He has also urged his fellow chiefs to act as agents of development and to work collectively with government institutions and development agencies to ensure that the traditional area receives its fair share of the national cake.
Bolewura further stressed that this is the time for accelerated development in the Bole Traditional Area, particularly for the youth who represent the workforce of the community.
He said, “This is the time for the development of the Bole Traditional Area.
We must utilise every opportunity that comes our way, and no stone shall be left unturned until we achieve the needed development, especially for the youth"
The President of the Bole Traditional Council, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I), concluded by encouraging unity and cooperation among chiefs and people in the traditional area, describing them as essential tools for achieving sustainability.
