Election 2024: NEIP CEO jabs Alan, says NPP running mate position holds more dignity than finishing 4th
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has taken a jab at Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, ahead of the December 7th general elections.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, 27th November, Nkansah mocked Kyerematen’s campaign efforts, suggesting that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate position would have been a more dignified choice.
The post featured a video of Alan Kyerematen riding in a Pragia (a three-wheeled motorised tricycle) while campaigning for votes.
Mr Nkansah ridiculed the scene, contrasting it with the perceived prestige of the NPP’s running mate slot.
He implied that Kyerematen’s decision to break away from the NPP and campaign independently has diminished his stature in the political landscape.
According to the NEIP CEO, Kyerematen’s campaign for the presidency, which he believes is unlikely to surpass a fourth-place finish, pales in comparison to the influence and honour associated with being the NPP’s running mate.
"When some of us suggested in the early days Chief Alan should partner Dr Bawumia to bring unity, the way some of his People insulted us. But NPP vice is more dignifying than riding in a Pragia to chop 4th," he posted
