Energy Minister to outline sector progress at Government Accountability Series today

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Mr John Abdulai Jinapor, is set to take centre stage today at the latest edition of the Government Accountability Series, where he will deliver a comprehensive presentation on the state of Ghana’s energy sector.
The event, scheduled for 11:00 AM, will provide the platform for the Minister to outline key successes, challenges, and the strategic direction for the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition.
Mr Jinapor is expected to highlight recent achievements in energy production, access, and policy reforms, as well as ongoing efforts to promote renewable energy and reduce Ghana’s carbon footprint.
He will also address critical challenges such as infrastructure deficits, energy sector debts, and the impact of global energy trends on domestic pricing and supply.
Stakeholders from government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and the media are expected to attend the event, which forms part of a broader government initiative to enhance transparency and public engagement on national development issues.
The Minister’s presentation will also touch on the government’s long-term vision for sustainable energy transformation and efforts to meet Ghana’s international climate commitments.
The Government Accountability Series is an ongoing public forum that gives sector ministers the opportunity to provide updates on their mandates, respond to concerns, and engage the public on policy directions
