I’m impressed by the quality of candidates chosen to represent NPP in 2024 – Bawumia on orphan constituency election

Flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed optimism following the successful parliamentary primaries held for 111 orphan constituencies across the country on Saturday, 2December 2023.
Dr Bawumia underscored the party's determination to clinch a significant number of seats currently held by the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a statement issued following the primaries.
He emphasised that the events of the day definitively demonstrated the party's preparedness and commitment to achieving this goal.
Impressed by the quality of candidates chosen to represent the NPP in the various or constituencies, Dr Bawumia looked ahead to the 2024 general elections with confidence.
He stated: “With the upcoming 2024 general elections in sight, I am very impressed by the quality of candidates chosen to represent our Party in these constituencies. In the coming election, I am confident that we will succeed in securing these seats through our sustained unity and collective efforts.”
The vice-president stressed the importance of maintaining momentum and unity within the party, asserting that it is through a collective working spirit that the NPP will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections.
He outlined the necessity for unity from the grassroots to the highest levels of leadership to accomplish the goal of winning a majority of the orphan seats.
“To keep our momentum and to accomplish victory, we need to stay united from the grassroots down to the highest levels of leadership,” the Dr Bawumia added.
