John Boadu celebrates Easter with Pentecostal Church of Christ in Kumasi
Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. John Boadu, joined congregants of the Pentecostal Church of Christ in Kumasi to mark Easter Sunday in a vibrant service filled with worship, reflection, and renewed hope.
Delivering a message during the service, Mr. Boadu drew powerful lessons from the biblical story of Joseph, emphasising how betrayal and hardship can be stepping stones to divine elevation.
He reminded the congregation that Joseph, despite being sold into slavery by his own brothers, rose to prominence and became a vessel of salvation for both his family and an entire nation.
“Joseph’s brothers believed they had ended his destiny, but God had already written his story,” Mr. Boadu said. “Pain and trials are sometimes part of the path to greatness, but when God is involved, everything works together for good.”
Turning his message to reflect on the NPP’s current position in opposition, Mr. Boadu encouraged party members and supporters not to lose heart.
“God, in His own perfect wisdom, knows why the NPP is in opposition today.
At the appointed time, He will restore the mandate to us,” he declared, drawing cheers and applause from the congregation.
He urged the church to hold fast to their faith, using the resurrection of Christ as a powerful reminder that after suffering comes glory. “Easter is about victory, renewal, and the hope that comes through Christ.
Let us carry that message into every aspect of our lives,” he said.
Mr. Boadu was accompanied by his personal aide, close associates, and a group of NPP faithful in Kumasi who joined in the Easter celebration.
The service concluded with fervent prayers for national unity, peace, and divine guidance for Ghana
