Mahama Ayariga set to become next Majority Leader in Parliament
Classfmonline.com is reliably informed that Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, is set to become the next Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament.
Sources within the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have disclosed that the party is restructuring its leadership in Parliament following President John Dramani Mahama’s nomination of the current Majority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, as Finance Minister.
Mahama Ayariga, a seasoned legislator known for his deep understanding of parliamentary procedures and ability to build consensus, has been selected to take over the role.
Ayariga is a well-established figure in Ghanaian politics, having held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Minister of Information.
His vast experience in governance and Parliament, coupled with his strong debating skills, makes him a strategic choice to lead the Majority caucus, especially as the NDC holds an overwhelming Majority in the House.
