NDC National Chairman engages Oti Region supporters, pledges urgent fix of Eastern Corridor road
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, was warmly received by party members and supporters in the Nkwanta North Constituency on Tuesday as part of his ongoing regional engagement tour.
The gathering, held at the Pentecost Church in Kpassa, commenced promptly at 9:00 a.m., drawing constituency executives, branch leaders, youth groups, and members of the public.
Chairman Asiedu Nketia’s visit forms part of the NDC leadership’s broader strategy to strengthen grassroots structures, energise local support, and consolidate the party’s readiness for upcoming national and parliamentary elections.
During his address, the National Chairman reaffirmed the NDC’s dedication to unity, inclusiveness, and effective organisation at all levels of the party.
“The NDC remains committed to building a stronger, more united front as we work toward restoring hope and delivering progress for the Ghanaian people,” he stated.
A major highlight of his engagement was the firm commitment to addressing the deteriorating state of the Eastern Corridor Road, which he described as a top priority for the NDC government.
“The Eastern Corridor road is in a bad state and continues to deteriorate.
We are committed to fixing it to stimulate the local economy and improve livelihoods,” Chairman Asiedu Nketia assured.
The pledge brought renewed hope to residents, particularly drivers and business operators who depend on the critical transport artery for their daily activities.
The event also served as a platform for regional party leaders to reconnect with the grassroots and ensure every constituency feels represented in the party’s agenda for national development.
