NDC Youth Wing congratulates George Opare Addo on ministerial nomination

The Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended its congratulations to Mr George Opare -Addo on his nomination as Ghana’s first Minister of Youth Development & Empowerment, pending parliamentary approval.
In a statement signed by Okai Mintah, Chairman of the National Youth Working Committee, the Youth Wing lauded the appointment, describing it as a recognition of Opare-Addo’s years of dedicated youth activism and unwavering commitment to youth advancement both within the NDC and the nation at large.
The statement also expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his commitment to establishing a dedicated ministry focused on empowering Ghana’s youth and transforming their aspirations into success.
"This nomination is a direct fulfilment of President Mahama’s pledge to prioritize youth development.
His decision to form the most youthful Cabinet in Ghana’s history is commendable and a testament to his vision for an inclusive government," the statement read.
The NDC Youth Wing further appreciated the party leadership and allied stakeholders for their support and endorsement of the appointment.
Expressing confidence in Opare- Addo’s ability to deliver on his mandate, the Youth Wing pledged its full support to ensure the successful implementation of policies that will drive youth empowerment and development across the country.
The statement concluded with a call for unity and collective efforts to ensure that youth-related policies are effectively executed under the new ministry.
