NDC announces vetting schedule for MMDCE applicants in Central Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional Secretariat in the Central Region has announced the vetting schedule for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) applicants.

The exercise will take place from Tuesday, January 14, 2025, to Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Regional Party Secretariat in Cape Coast.

This follows the conclusion of the nomination and validation processes in all 23 Constituencies within the region.

According to a statement signed by Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, the Regional Secretary, the vetting is in line with directives issued by the party’s General Secretary and under the leadership of the Regional Chairman, Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu.

The vetting sessions will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the constituencies divided across three days as follows:

Day 1: Tuesday, January 14, 2025

Awutu Senya West Gomoa East Gomoa Central Agona East Ajumako Enyan Essiam Effutu Gomoa West

Day 2: Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Agona West Ekumfi Mfantseman Awutu Senya East Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Assin South Cape Coast South Cape Coast North

Day 3: Thursday, January 16, 2025

Abura Asebu Kwamankese Assin Central Assin North Upper Denkyira East Upper Denkyira West Twifo Atti Morkwa Hemang Lower Denkyira Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem

Only applicants who submitted their forms and completed the validation process are eligible for the vetting.

Qualified candidates have been informed through their respective Constituency Executive Committees.

Applicants are required to present six copies of their application documents, including their application letter, CV, vision statement, a scanned copy of their party ID, and passport photo.

Additional documents such as academic certificates, party dues payment records, and recommendations from their branch or polling station executives must also be submitted.

The party emphasized the importance of adhering to guidelines, including the prohibition of shadow campaigning through banners, posters, or other promotional activities during and after the vetting process.

The Regional Secretariat has also invited lawful petitions from stakeholders, with a deadline for submission set for Monday, January 13, 2025.

The statement reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and effective vetting process.

It wished all applicants the best of luck as they prepares to appear before the vetting committee.
