According to a statement issued by the Council, the Committee has begun monitoring the activities, public comments, and engagements of all presidential aspirants and their campaign teams to ensure that the campaign process remains peaceful, respectful, and focused on issues that reflect the party’s values and democratic traditions.
The Council encouraged party members, supporters, and the general public to report any offensive, divisive, or inflammatory remarks made by any aspirant, spokesperson, or campaign team member.
Such reports, the statement noted, should be supported by credible evidence and submitted either in writing or through direct communication via phone call or WhatsApp to the Committee.
The designated contacts are:
Ing. Dr. Kwasi Abeasi, Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee
Mr. Mark Opoku, Secretary to the Committee
The Council of Elders reminded all aspirants and campaign teams to exercise restraint and responsibility in their public engagements.
It emphasised that the unity and cohesion of the party remain crucial before, during, and after the presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.
The statement concluded with a call for discipline, respect, and solidarity among all party members to ensure a peaceful and united NPP ready to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
