NPP denies contacting A-Plus for parliamentary caucus discussions
The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has categorically denied claims that the party has reached out to Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, the Member of Parliament-elect for Gomoa Central Constituency in the Central Region to caucus with the party in Parliament.
In a statement, Mr. Kodua Frimpong clarified that the NPP has neither contacted A-Plus nor authorized anyone to engage him on the party’s behalf regarding any parliamentary matters.
“The leadership of the NPP wishes to categorically deny any such reports.
At no point has the party contacted Kwame Asare Obeng or authorized anyone to convey any message to him to caucus with us in Parliament,” the statement read.
The General Secretary urged the public to disregard the claims and cautioned against the spread of misinformation that could undermine the party's reputation and its internal operations.
The statement follows widespread speculation about the NPP’s efforts to solidify its parliamentary presence by reaching out to individuals outside its traditional fold.
However, the party has firmly denied these reports, reaffirming its commitment to conducting its affairs with transparency and integrity.
The NPP also assured its members and supporters that it remains focused on pursuing its legislative agenda with the current Members of Parliament aligned with its cause.
