Volta NDC chairman begins New Year donation drive at Dededo in Ho West
The Office of the Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on 10th January, 2026, embarked on a humanitarian donation exercise aimed at supporting physically challenged persons, at Dededo in the Ho West Constituency serving as the first stop of the initiative.
The initiative, led by the regional party chairman Mawutor Agbavitor, was undertaken as a moment of reflection and compassion at the start of the New Year.
The team paid a calm and purposeful visit to the physically challenged community at Dededo to interact with them, deliberate on their concerns, and put smiles on their faces as they begin the year.

Speaking during the visit, Mr Agbavitor emphasised that physically challenged persons remain an integral part of the constituency and the Volta Region at large. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, noting that touching lives and supporting vulnerable groups formed a key part of his development-oriented and people-centered agenda.
As part of the donation, several essential items were presented to the beneficiaries. These included bags of rice, cooking oil, canned sardines, corned beef, tomatoes, milk, spaghetti, toilet rolls, packs of water, assorted soft drinks, and other household items. The donation was received with excitement and gratitude, as beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely support.

Mr Agbavitor described the gesture as his modest way of saying thank you to the physically challenged community and wishing them the very best for the year ahead. He further noted that the Dededo visit marked only the beginning of a series of community-focused initiatives planned across the region.
He expressed optimism that the year would usher in greater success for the NDC, stronger unity within the party, and meaningful progress for the Volta Region and the nation as a whole.
