Chief Justice pays courtesy call on Education Minister to strengthen institutional collaboration
The Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Paul Kwadwo Baffoe-Bonnie, accompanied by the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang, and Dr. Raymond A. Atuguba, has paid a courtesy call on the Ministry of Education in Accra.
The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration between the Judiciary and the education sector, and provided an opportunity for discussions on issues of mutual interest.
During the engagement, the Chief Justice highlighted the critical role of education in promoting justice, the rule of law and national development.
He stressed the importance of legal education, civic responsibility and ethical training within Ghana’s educational system, noting that a well-informed and educated citizenry is essential for sustaining democracy and respect for the rule of law.
The meeting also explored ways the Judiciary and the Ministry of Education could work together to deepen public understanding of the legal system and foster a culture of accountability and civic consciousness among students.
The courtesy call underscores the Judiciary’s commitment to engaging key institutions in advancing national development through education and the promotion of democratic values.
