Voting against the NPP in 2024 is a project every Ghanaian must embrace- Kpodo
The Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency in the Volta Region, Mr Benjamin Komla Kpodo, has called on Ghanaians to view voting against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections as a national project for the betterment of the country's future.
Mr Kpodo emphasized that removing the NPP from political leadership should not be solely an aspiration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) but a collective endeavour for the good of the nation.
He stated that the NPP, in its current position, is detrimental to both the political and economic fabric of Ghana, warranting its exclusion from the political arena.
During a ceremony to introduce his successor, Mr. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) elect for the Ho Central Constituency, to the Asogli Traditional Council and traditional leadership at Togbe Afede XIV's Palace in Ho on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Mr. Kpodo urged Ghanaians to perceive the 2024 general elections not merely as a routine process but as a means of revival and survival for the country.
He called for the support of chiefs, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and all well-meaning Ghanaians in this endeavour.
Mr. Kpodo asserted that the NPP-led government lacks the credibility to manage the economy and, therefore, must be voted out.
The MP disclosed that the Ho Central Constituency aims to secure at least 85,000 votes in the 2024 general elections to ensure a resounding victory for former President John Dramani Mahama.
In response, the PC-elect, Mr. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders, including traditional authorities, for the proper development of the constituency.
Togbe Adzie Lakle Howusu XII, Chief of Ho-Dome and Warlord of the Asogli Traditional Council commended the MP for promoting love and unity.
He encouraged the PC-elect to use recess periods in Parliament to engage with constituents on various issues.
The introductory tour, which included visits to 23 communities in the constituency, aimed to familiarize the PC-elect with the constituents and their concerns.
The ceremony was attended by Ho Central Constituency Executives and some branch executives
