The Albiceleste edged past the Three Lions in a tense semi-final that delivered drama, late chances, and another big performance from Lionel Scaloni’s side.
England took control early and held firm under pressure as Argentina pushed for an equalizer and later got the winning goal.
The victory sends Argentina into their first major final against Spain in years, and keeps their bid for another trophy alive.
England were left to regret missed opportunities after dominating possession in spells but failing to convert.
The final between Argentina and Spain is expected to draw a global audience, pitting two of world football’s most technical sides against each other.
