Asante Kotoko fined GHS20k, must pay within 14 days over fan misconduct
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has imposed a GHS 20,000 fine on Asante Kotoko following incidents of fan misconduct during a Ghana Premier League (GPL) match.
The committee found the club guilty of inappropriate behavior by their supporters toward match officials in their league fixture against Dreams FC. The conduct was deemed unacceptable and a clear violation of league regulations.
Asante Kotoko has been directed to settle the GHS 20,000 fine within 14 days of receiving official notification of the ruling. Failure to pay within the stipulated period could result in additional disciplinary action.
Alongside the financial penalty, the club has been issued a formal warning. The GFA disciplinary committee cautioned that any future incidents involving supporter misconduct could lead to stiffer sanctions, including higher fines or other measures.
