Black Queens dominate Russia with 4-0 win at Pink Ladies Cup
The Black Queens showcased an impressive performance to secure a 4-0 victory over Russia in their second match of the Pink Ladies Cup.
Ghana took control early, with Stella Nyamekye opening the scoring in the eighth minute with a calm, precise finish.
Just nine minutes later, Doris Boaduwaa extended the lead, and she doubled her tally in the 33rd minute, sending the Black Queens into halftime with a commanding 3-0 advantage.
Russia struggled to find a way past Ghana’s well-organised defense in the second half, while the Black Queens remained dangerous on the counterattack.
Patience Ajegipena Zakaria sealed the win in the 88th minute, completing a dominant performance.
With the win, Ghana tops the table with two victories from as many matches. Their campaign concludes against Tanzania on Friday, March 6, 2026.
The team is using the Pink Ladies Cup as preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
