Black Stars confirm squad numbers for 2026 World Cup
The Black Stars have announced squad numbers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi will wear the number 1 shirt.
Captain Jordan Ayew has been assigned the number 9 jersey, while Brandon Thomas-Asante will wear number 10 and Antoine Semenyo number 11.
In the goalkeeping department, Joseph Anang has been given number 12 and Benjamin Asare number 16.
Defender Derrick Luckassen, who replaces the injured Alexander Djiku, will wear number 23.
Midfielder Thomas Partey retains his number 5 shirt, with Gideon Mensah assigned number 14, Kwasi Sibo number 8, Caleb Yirenkyi number 3, and Baba Rahman number 17.
Ghana are preparing for their return to the World Cup under coach Carlos Queiroz.
They will open their Group L campaign against Panama in Toronto on June 17, before facing England in Boston on June 23 and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Ghana are aiming to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
