Salisu, Semenyo leave camp ahead of Black Stars' international friendly against South Korea
Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo have left the Ghana Black Stars camp in Asia, returning to their camps.
According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the two stars left camp due to injuries.
For Mohammed Salisu's, a bilateral medial collateral ligament sprain was cited, and was confirmed by Monaco and the Black Stars medical team.
For Antoine Semenyo, a left anterior talo-fibula ligament sprain was mentioned, which, according to reports, was aggravated during the game against Japan. Playing captain, Semenyo was replaced by Prince Kwabena Adu in the 55th minute, in the game which ended with Ghana down by 2:0.
With this development, and Francis Abu's injury, Coach Otto Addo has 19 players left in camp as Ghana goes up against South Korea in an international friendly on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul.
When Ghana played Japan, Francis Abu was fouled by Japan's Tanaka Ao in the early stages of the second half. He was taken to the Toyota Memorial Hospital in Aichi for surgery, where the medical teams of the Black Stars, Toulouse FC and the Toyota Memorial Hospital worked together to develop a treatment plan for the Toulouse FC player's injury.
