Choirmaster marks Beverly Afaglo’s 43rd birthday with emotional tribute
Ghanaian musician Choirmaster has moved many social media users after sharing a heartfelt message in memory of his late wife, actress Beverly Afaglo, on what would have been her 43rd birthday.
The actress passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, just days before her birthday celebration on May 28. Her husband, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of the music group Praye, announced the sad news through an emotional Instagram post.
Expressing his pain after her passing, the musician wrote that his heart was “shattered beyond words,” adding that although Beverly was only a few days away from her birthday, he believed God had called her to celebrate with Him instead.
To mark her birthday, Choirmaster returned to social media with a touching video compilation showing memorable moments they shared together as a couple. The video captured their joyful times, affection, and strong connection throughout their marriage.
In another emotional message accompanying the post, the musician admitted that life has become difficult without her presence.
“It’s your birthday in heaven today, and I wish I could join you… but you know I have to stay in this difficult world to take care of the girls. Your passing has made me realize how much Ghanaians admired the love we shared. Rest on, superstar. Happy birthday. R.I.P. #mylove,” he wrote.
The tribute sparked reactions across social media, with fans and celebrities sending messages of sympathy and support to the grieving musician and his family.
Many people also reflected on the couple’s admired relationship, describing their love story as inspiring and genuine.
