Street life nor feats should keep you out of the classroom; 'add knowledge' for success – Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy has asserted the street life and its hardships should not stop one from learning and tasting success.
He also underlined the importance of seeking “knowledge” from rigorous formal education no matter the outstanding achievements one can boast of due to their talents, skills or experience.
The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year 2024 spoke at his graduation after-party, having received a Public Administration degree from the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA) on Friday, July 26, 2024.
The Reggae/Dancehall star said he had, for years, nurtured a desire to learn about governance because he was intrigued by how the world is run by political powers.
He also revealed it was his wife who pushed him, as it were, to move from desire to action regarding his educational advancement.
Knowing the commitment to education would impact his busy life, the Burniton Music Group founder and CEO said he promptly made adjustments.
“Although we’re on the streets, we respect the fact that we need to make it in life and also continue to learn,” he said.
“Somebody would say: ‘Why at this time, Stonebwoy? You have achieved some enviable, remarkable feats in your career, why you would want to go back to school?
“I can only say that it’s important to add knowledge.
“And I know that I’m very interested in governance and what goes on at the top level so I had to try and get that education. I’m always interested in watching all this political stuff and otherwise. Not to say I want to become a politician but I know that is what runs nations. So I’m always interested in my history, etc,” the Def Jam Recordings star said, standing in front of industry colleagues, the media, family and friends.
