Uncle Ato: Gospel star on the 'open secret' to his success
Gospel star Uncle Ato, born Alexander Bruce-Ghartey, has spoken on the secret to his success.
He sat down with Taller Dee on Journey to Heaven on No.1 FM, 105.3.
According to the Dzi Dew hitmaker, the “open secret,” is “prayer, hard work, holiness, fasting – do these things in proper balance and God will give you success.
“Even faith as small as a mustard seed is enough. God is not looking for any outrageous things.”
The beloved worship leader said unlike what some Gospel singers say, he had never climbed a mountain to pray or fasted for 21 days “looking for a song”.
“I fast but it is the regular one I do. If God brings a song during this period, I keep it. I don’t pray for a song. I go about my normal walk with God; my normal devotions, prayer, fasting. If a song comes, I write or record it. And when I want to make an album, I go into the archives,” the award-winning singer-songwriter explained.
“So I don’t climb Atwea mountain in search of a hit song.”
