The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made remarkable progress in reclaiming its lands and safeguarding the country’s diplomatic properties, according to the sector Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Ablakwa announced that the Ministry has successfully reclaimed all its lands, ensuring they are now fully under the Ministry’s control.

This accomplishment marks a significant step in protecting Ghana’s diplomatic assets from unauthorized sales or encroachment.

In a major victory for the Ministry, attempts to sell Ghanaian diplomatic properties in Nigeria and Zambia have also been halted.

The Minister emphasized that this firm stance against the sale of diplomatic assets reflects the Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding Ghana’s interests abroad.

Looking ahead, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to introduce a series of initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer service.

One of the most anticipated projects is the introduction of 24-hour operations, which will provide around-the-clock services to citizens and diplomatic missions.

The goal is to expedite processing times, reduce delays, and improve the overall experience for those engaging with the Ministry.

Ablakwa expressed confidence that these new measures will strengthen the Ministry’s ability to serve the public and promote Ghana’s diplomatic standing.
