ISSER, University of Ghana selected to host 2026 Evidence to Action Conference
The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana has been chosen to host the 2026 Evidence to Action (E2A) Conference, scheduled to take place from 22 to 26 June 2026, according to the statement.
This will be the ninth edition of the prestigious international conference, which brings together policymakers, researchers, evaluators, development practitioners, and civil society actors to promote evidence-informed decision-making across Africa.
The event will be held under the theme: “Reimagining the Evidence-Informed Policy- and Decision-Making Ecosystem in Africa.”
The conference will be organized by ISSER in collaboration with the International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED), the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), and the Research and Evaluation Centre (REC).
According to the statement, E2A 2026 will feature two days of pre-conference workshops and side events (22–23 June), followed by three days of high-level plenaries, technical presentations, exhibitions, and interactive action-oriented learning labs. The programme will focus on government systems, financing, civil society, research innovation, and private sector engagement.
Dr. David Ameyaw, Executive Director of ICED, emphasized the importance of the conference.
“Africa’s contribution to the global research ecosystem remains disproportionately low.
E2A 2026 seeks to shift that dynamic by creating a space where African-led research evidence is placed at the center of policy dialogue.” He said
Prof. Robert Darko Osei, Director of ISSER, further noted that hosting E2A for the third consecutive year reflects their commitment to advancing knowledge for development through partnerships and ensuring that research and evidence are effectively translated into solutions for society’s challenges.
According to the statement, the conference will take place at the ISSER Conference Facility, University of Ghana, Legon.
