La–Teshie–Nungua road works to resume before year-end – Roads Minister assures
The Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has assured Parliament that construction works on the stalled La–Teshie–Nungua road project will resume before the end of the year.
The assurance came after the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku, Benjamin Ayiku Narteh, appealed to the minister to intervene and facilitate the completion of the project, citing the difficulties faced by residents and motorists.
The MP noted that the road project, which began in 2020, has remained incomplete, leading to persistent traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters who use the stretch daily.
Responding to the concerns, the Roads and Highways Minister acknowledged the challenges associated with the project and assured Parliament that steps were being taken to resume construction works.
The minister expressed confidence that the resumption of work would ease congestion and improve movement along the corridor, bringing relief to residents and road users.
