Labour Ministry partners Platinum Impact Limited to strengthen 'work abroad' initiative

The Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment has entered into a strategic partnership with the leading recruitment agency, Platinum Impact Limited, to bolster its flagship "Work Abroad" initiative aimed at creating overseas employment opportunities for Ghanaian workers.
The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ministry’s offices in Accra, signifying a major step toward leveraging Public-Private Partnerships to address youth unemployment and promote safe labour migration.
Under the agreement, Platinum Impact Ltd will support the scouting, processing, and placement of Ghanaian artisans and professionals in legal and decent jobs abroad across key industries such as hospitality, agriculture, construction, and transportation.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, commended Platinum Impact for its long-standing commitment to ethical recruitment practices.
He urged the company to uphold the highest standards in its operations to ensure the protection and dignity of Ghanaian workers.
“My expectation is that you do what is right and required in the best interest of the people of Ghana. Let’s ensure we secure appropriate jobs in places where the rights of our people are respected,” Dr. Pelpuo emphasised.
“Use your expertise in locating decent jobs to support this initiative.”
Platinum Impact Limited, established in 2004, is a Ghanaian-owned recruitment firm with a strong reputation for facilitating safe and regular migration.
The company has a proven track record of securing decent, well-paying jobs for skilled Ghanaian workers across the globe.
The "Work Abroad" programme, officially launched by the Ministry in March 2025, is designed to align the skills of Ghanaian workers with international labour market demands.
The initiative includes a robust vetting process via an online portal through which candidates will be screened.
Additionally, all participating foreign employers are required to sign formal agreements with both Ghana and the destination countries to safeguard the rights and welfare of recruited workers.
Selected workers will also undergo mandatory pre-departure training, including cultural orientation, rights awareness, and professional development sessions, to better equip them for the international job market.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to tackle unemployment through strategic labour migration and ensure Ghanaians benefit from global work opportunities in a safe, legal, and structured manner.
