Margins ID Group, in partnership with the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KKMA) and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) in the Greater Accra Region, has officially unveiled the redeveloped Kinbu Triangle Green landmark, completing the urban regeneration project in just 30 days.

The climate-resilient initiative, opened on December 19, 2025, is aimed at addressing urban heat, environmental degradation and pedestrian safety along one of Accra’s busiest commercial corridors.

The revamped space features native, drought-resistant landscaping and pedestrian-friendly design elements designed to reduce ambient temperatures and improve the urban experience for nearby schools, offices, businesses and hospitality facilities.

Speaking at the unveiling, Chief Executive Officer of Margins ID Group, Moses Baiden Jnr, said the project reflects the company’s belief that national development must go beyond digital innovation to include the physical environments people interact with daily.

He noted that Margins ID Group is headquartered at the Octagon building directly opposite the site, alongside its subsidiaries—Margins ID Systems Applications Limited and special purpose vehicles, IMS and IMS II—while the Mayor’s office is located just behind the premises.

According to him, the former state of the triangle did not reflect the standards the company upholds as a neighbour.

“This project reflects our belief that Corporate Social Responsibility should be practical, visible and impactful,” Mr Baiden said.

He explained that the Kinbu Triangle redevelopment forms part of Margins ID Group’s 35th anniversary Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and was driven by proximity to the site and a shared responsibility to improve the immediate environment.

“Seeing the condition the triangle was in, it was not befitting for us as a neighbour to do nothing.

With the collaboration and goodwill of the Assemblies, we decided to act and demonstrate what Corporate Responsibility should look like in practice,” he added.

Over the years, Margins ID Group has aligned its social interventions with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 4 on Quality Education, SDG 5 on Gender Equality and SDG 16.9 on Legal Identity for All.

The Kinbu Triangle project further advances SDG 13 on Climate Action by reducing urban heat, increasing greenery and improving the overall outlook of the city.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Margins ID Group, Kwesi Baiden, highlighted the importance of Public–Private Partnerships in sustainable urban development.

He noted that while the private sector often brings strong ideas and resources, collaboration with public institutions is essential to successfully implement projects that create liveable and well-planned cities.

He disclosed that the redevelopment incorporates several sustainability and security features, including an automatic irrigation system, solar-powered lighting supported by 300-watt panels, and CCTV installations to enhance safety.

Mr Baiden called on city authorities and the general public to protect the facility, stressing that while the private sector can invest and monitor such projects, enforcement and long-term preservation require civic responsibility and active public support.

Accra Mayor, Mr. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, welcomed the initiative, describing it as a meaningful contribution to the capital and “one of the best Christmas gifts an institution could give to the city.”

Korle Klottey Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Alfred Allotey-Gaisie, commended Margins ID Group for the speed of execution, noting that a project initially expected to take about three months was delivered in less than a month.

He urged other corporate institutions to emulate the initiative by partnering with local authorities to support urban renewal, environmental sustainability and the maintenance of public spaces.

Delivered as part of Margins ID Group’s 35th anniversary celebrations, the Kinbu Triangle project signals the company’s expanded approach to national development—integrating digital innovation with physical urban infrastructure—while offering a replicable model for future climate-responsive public–private regeneration projects across Accra’s high-traffic commercial areas.
