The newly appointed Bono and Ahafo Regional Manager of the Metro Mass Transit Company, Mr. Ayoma Moro, has pledged to confront and resolve several pressing challenges hampering the operations of the company in the region.

In an interview with CTV and Accra FM’s Bono and Ahafo Regional Correspondent, Odeneho Kwesi Appiah, Mr. Moro identified key issues, including staff shortages, lack of office space, inadequate logistics and equipment, and a number of grounded buses as major obstacles that require urgent attention.

“These challenges are affecting our service delivery,” he said.

“I intend to present these issues to our national leadership in Accra so we can find lasting solutions.

The transformation of Metro Mass starts from addressing these basic but critical needs.”

Mr. Moro, who officially took over as Regional Manager, expressed his commitment to fostering a productive working environment.

He emphasised the importance of teamwork and assured staff of improved motivation and engagement to help revive the company’s fortunes in the region.

“I will work hand-in-hand with the workers and motivate them to give their best.

Together, we can bring Metro Mass Transit back to full strength in Bono and Ahafo,” he stated.

The outgoing Regional Manager, Nii Ashetey Attram, called for unity and cooperation, urging staff to fully support Mr. Moro in his efforts.

“Progress will only come if we all support the new leadership and work together as a team,” he advised.

Mr. Moro’s appointment is seen as part of broader efforts to restructure and revitalise Metro Mass operations nationwide.
