Tatale-Sanguli district engineer dies after bee attack during road work

A district roads engineer in Tatale-Sanguli has died after being attacked by a swarm of bees while supervising road works under the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) on June 1.
The incident happened along the Tatale-Sanguli road, where construction was ongoing. Workers reportedly ran for safety when the bees suddenly appeared.
The engineer was unable to escape and was repeatedly stung, causing him to collapse.
He was rushed to Tatale Hospital by the National Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to the District DRIP Coordinator, the engineer was alone at the exact spot where the attack occurred. His body has been sent to the Yendi Municipal Hospital morgue while investigations continue.
