VFS Global handles UK visa applications now
TLScontact no longer handles visa applications for the United Kingdom (UK).
From Tuesday, October 22, 2024, VFS Global took over applications started under TLScontact, and all else moving forward.
According to the UK government, the switch will enhance visa application services, including, on average, shorter biometric and application submission times at the visa application centres, as well as a new average passport collection time of 20 minutes and more comprehensive information for persons to distinguish free services from paid services.
Furthermore, the UK government has made sure the changes will not affect the visa process, nor immigration rules, or visa fees.
VFS Global is located on the Mezzanine Floor, Grand Oyeeman Building, South Liberation Link in Accra.
“We are excited to embark on this new journey with UK Visas and Immigration here in Ghana we have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with UK Visas and Immigration since 2003 and look forward to now bringing travelers from Ghana our best-in-class services,” Mr Alok Singhal, Head, Sub-Saharan Africa, VFS Global said.
VFS Global statement
Travellers to the UK will be able to submit their visa applications at a VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Ghana from 22 October 2024.
From this date, customers submitting new visa applications on UK Visas and Immigration (GOV.UK) website will be directed automatically to VFS Global to make an appointment to submit their biometrics.
Please note that the TLScontact visa application centre in Accra will close on 15 November 2024 and all visa application processing for the UK will be transferred to VFS Global. Click here to find the VFS application centre address.
If you have already submitted your application at the TLScontact centre on or before 15 November 2024 and have not received your decision, your file and any associated documents will be securely transferred to VFS Global by TLScontact centre. We will contact you once your documents/passports are ready for dispatch.
If you have already booked an appointment with TLScontact centre for October, there is no change and your appointment will take place at the TLScontact centre, as planned.
