GA/R: Tema Regional Police arrests two suspects for robbery in Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of a businessman on February 26, 2025, at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
The first suspect, Karim Fatao, was apprehended on the same day of the robbery, while the second suspect, Wonder Babanawo, who had been on the police wanted list for a series of robberies in Ashaiman and parts of Tema, was arrested on March 29, 2025.
During a search of the suspects, the police recovered several items, including a Ruger pistol loaded with fifteen rounds of ammunition, 30 mobile phone covers, six SIM cards, a quantity of dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp, one Samsung tablet, and three copies of land indenture.
Following his arrest, Karim Fatao was arraigned and subsequently remanded into police custody.
Meanwhile, Wonder Babanawo remains in police custody and will soon be put before the court to face justice.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Dede Dzakpasu, who heads the Public Affairs Office, confirmed the arrests and assured the public that the police remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the area.
