NACOC conducts anti-drug operations in Greater Accra and Oti Region, several arrested
The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has conducted a series of anti-drug operations across parts of the Greater Accra and Oti regions, leading to several arrests and the seizure of suspected narcotic substances over the weekend.
The coordinated operations targeted suspected drug hotspots in Kissieman, Dome and Kwabenya, where officers reportedly retrieved quantities of suspected illegal drugs and other items during the intelligence-led exercise.

According to security sources, the operations form part of NACOC’s ongoing nationwide efforts to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse, particularly within densely populated urban communities.
Suspects arrested during the operations are currently assisting with investigations, while officials work to identify and dismantle networks linked to the distribution of narcotics in the affected areas.
In a related development, NACOC also carried out a separate operation at Alavanyo in the Oti Region, where additional suspects were arrested and suspected narcotic substances seized.
