The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has donated ¢50,000 to the Bii-Kunuto Educational Fund, an initiative established by the Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I.
The donation was made during a courtesy call at the Jakpa Palace in Damongo on Friday, May 15, 2026, marking the second day of Mr Nketiah’s “Thank You Tour” of the Savannah Region.
“I’m fully with the overlord. I’m committed to achieving the objectives of the fund. I want to donate my widow’s mite of GH¢50,000. In future, I may be donating,” Mr Nketiah stated.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah commended the Yagbonwura for his efforts in promoting peace and unity throughout the 2024 general elections, both within the Savannah Region and across the nation.
He also praised the traditional ruler's contribution to national leadership, noting that the Overlord's guidance helped produce a leader of international significance for Ghana.
