The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has welcomed members of the newly formed Association of Former Directors of the DVLA to his office.

The delegation paid a courtesy call to formally introduce the Association and extend an invitation to the CEO to officially inaugurate the group.

Mr. Kotey expressed strong support for the initiative, describing the preservation of institutional knowledge as critical to the long-term success of the Authority.

He noted that drawing on the experience and insights of former leaders would help strengthen current operations and guide future reforms.

According to him, bridging the gap between past leadership and present strategic goals ensures that the Authority not only progresses but does so with wisdom and continuity.

He further emphasised the importance of learning from history to avoid repeating past mistakes, reaffirming the DVLA’s commitment to leveraging its institutional legacy as a foundation for improved service delivery and organisational growth.

The formation of the Association of Former Directors is expected to foster mentorship, advisory support and knowledge-sharing within the Authority.
