Police pursue wife of slain robbery suspect over alleged role in criminal operations
The Ghana Police Service has intensified efforts to locate Patricia Osei Boateng, the wife of a suspected armed robbery gang leader known as Duku, over her alleged involvement in a series of robbery incidents.
According to police sources, Patricia Osei Boateng is believed to have played an active role in assisting her husband in carrying out criminal operations.
Investigators allege that she at times disguised herself as a nurse to evade security checks and transport items without raising suspicion.
Police reports indicate that Duku was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire with officers following a robbery operation that was linked to the death of Mr. Amankwa, who is reported to be the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi.
Authorities say the confrontation occurred as officers attempted to apprehend the suspect after tracking his movements.
Further intelligence suggests that Patricia Osei Boateng may have travelled to Dubai shortly after some of the alleged robberies were carried out.
Investigators are currently working to verify her travel history and determine whether she fled the country to avoid arrest.
The Ghana Police Service is urging members of the public who may have information about her whereabouts to assist with ongoing investigations.
Authorities have assured the public that efforts are underway to ensure that all individuals connected to the criminal activities are brought to justice.
