Flora Tissue launches flora greens initiative to empower children to save the earth
Paper tissue manufacturing company, Flora Tissues Limited, has launched a project dubbed 'Flora Greens', an initiative to empower and educate children in basic and some selected Senior High Schools on how to plant trees to save the earth for tomorrow.
The primary objective of this initiative was to instil in children a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment and a commitment to safeguarding the earth for the future.
Speaking at the launch, Executive Director for Flora Tissues, Jude Skaf, elaborated on the importance of the initiative and commended Ghanaians at large for their support of the products of Flora Tissue.
He also added that the company since its establishment has created positive product experiences for its customers over the years.
"We are constantly in touch with our partners and customers to identify their needs and to continue to deliver products with exceptional value," he said.
The Marketing Director for Flora Tissues, Barbara Inkoom, in her speech, said as part of the flora greens clubs, children will have the opportunity to plant 10 tree seedlings supplied by Flora Tissue.
She added that the club will engage in quarterly inter-school quizzes based on a specially developed curriculum where the students will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes
