Lordina Mahama champions women's and children’s empowerment at Bodom
Former First Lady and leader of the Lordina Foundation, Madam Lordina Mahama, has shared her foundation's inspiring vision to uplift women and children across Ghana, emphasizing the transformative impact of empowerment in health, education, and economic opportunities.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new Lordina Foundation Maternity and Children's Ward in Bodom, Madam Lordina expressed her commitment to providing the resources and support needed for women and children to thrive.
"The Lordina Foundation is dedicated to uplifting women and children in every facet of life," she stated.
"I am confident that when they are given the tools they need to succeed, our entire nation will benefit immensely.”
Madam Lordina described the newly inaugurated maternity and children's ward as a "labour of love," underscoring the foundation's profound commitment to the health and well-being of Ghana’s mothers and children.
"This beautiful facility is more than just a building; it represents our unwavering dedication to the health and future of women and children," she said passionately.
She extended her heartfelt gratitude to the foundation’s supporters, including sponsors, partners, and community leaders who made the project a reality.
"I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this achievement—the Lordina Foundation team, our generous sponsors and partners, and Nananom for embracing and supporting this initiative.”
Madam Lordina also urged the Bodom community to take pride in and be responsible for the facility, stressing the importance of maintenance to ensure it continues to serve generations to come.
"Let us work together to keep this facility well-maintained so it can continue to serve our people effectively," she encouraged, expressing hope that the ward will bring lasting benefits to Bodom and beyond.
